When Jeremy Lemmons began searching for a career, he knew the business courses he was taking at Arkansas Tech University in Russellville for two years were not the direction he wanted to head.  For him, coming home to ASUMH provided the right environment to explore his interest in the medical field.  Jeremy had always thought courses in human anatomy sounded fascinating.  He also he enjoyed helping people.  Once he began to combine the two interests, his future in the medical field as a career choice became clear.  “I enjoyed the atmosphere at ASUMH very much.  My teachers and peers have both been very helpful and made my experience here very pleasant.”  Jeremy says that ASUMH instructors were able to work with him and his busy schedule for the year he was enrolled completing prerequisites he needed to attend Ophthalmic Technology School at UAMS.  Receiving his acceptance letter into the specialized program at UAMS while at ASUMH was a thrill.  “ASUMH is a great college experience.  The instructors are wonderful, the classes are manageable, and the students are very friendly.  This college has been a great stepping stone in my medical education and career.  I would recommend it to anyone.”
