The Arkansas State University – Mountain Home Cost Containment Committee was established by the Chancellor in September 2011.  The purpose of the committee is to review procedures, policies, and expenditure trends; make recommendations for improvements and initiatives; and promote overall institutional efficiency and effectiveness.  The Chancellor appointed the committee chair and other members of the committee which are listed below. 

The university budget committee established a cost containment sub-committee on November 16, 2012 to replace the previously appointed committee.

Transitioned forms to online platform

Refunded bonds

Switched to online paystubs and W-2's

Direct Deposit of student refunds

Revised Travel Policy

Changed credit card processing provider

Upgrade to HVAC controls and scheduling

Transition part-time employees to Social Security Alternative plan

Change irrigation schedule and/or update irrigation system
