Education is how dreams come true. The staff of the Scholarships and Financial Aid Office is here to help you seek the finances to make your dreams into reality. In addition to traditional academic programs, ASUMH offers a variety of services to serve the community. Secondary Center classes are offered for students in K-12 schools in the area. Community Education classes are offered for life-long learning and are just for fun. There are no tests or grades and these short-term courses are not for credit. Workforce Training programs are often customized for business and industry and both for-credit and not-for-credit classes.

Career Pathways


Arkansas Career Pathways Initiative is a program that enables your local two-year college to offer those who qualify free career training and college classes. But that's not all. In addition to free training and college classes, the Pathways program may be able to help overcome the barriers that have kept you from getting the training and education you need.


Career Pathways participants will have access to:

  • Advising to assist with career and educational decisions

  • Assistance finding jobs while in school and careers upon graduation

  • Extra instruction for building successful academic and employment skills

  • Tutoring

  • Easy access to a computer lab for doing homework and improving computer skills

In addition, some parents may qualify for financial aid to assist with childcare, transportation, and tuition, books, and other direct educational expenses.


  • You must be a parent, with children under age 21 living in your home, AND
  • Low income adults with dependent children earning less than or equal to the federal poverty limit, OR
  • Families with adults and dependent children whose income is above the federal poverty limit, but less than 250% of the federal poverty limit.  ($50,400.00 annually for a family of three.)
